North South University (NSU) held a seminar on “Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties—Section 3: Interpretation of Treaties (§ 31-33)” on February 10, 2025. Event held at the Moot Court Room for attracted students, academics and legal professionals interested in international law and treaty interpretation. Keynote speaker was Norwegian Ambassador to Bangladesh Håkon Arald Gulbrandsen.
Session chaired by vice-chancellor Abdul Hannan Chowdhury and special invitee Prof. Abdur Rob Khan was attended by Dr. Ishtiaque Ahmed associate professor & Barrister-at-Law. North South University dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences Prof. Dr. Md. Rizwanul Islam expressed gratitude to the distinguished guests for their presence and expertise. Gulbrandsen generously shared his perspective on the interpretation of treaties, focusing on Section 3: Interpretation of Treaties (§ 31-33).
This NSU seminar concluded with a Crest Handover Ceremony, where the keynote speaker was presented with a token of appreciation and a group photograph with all attendees.
