Independent University, Bangladesh Center for Industrial Automation Robotics & Internet of Things and Taan-Raat Institute Collaboration

6th RIoT National Creative Challenge organized by Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) Center for Industrial Automation Robotics & Internet of Things and the Taan-Raat Institute of Bangladesh, attracted over 1,100 students from 80 schools and colleges to compete across 12 categories. Event was attended by Sharmeen S. Murshid, adviser to the ministries of social welfare and women and children affairs, Didar A. Husain, chairman of IUB board of trust, VC M. Tamim and Antu Kareem, managing director of Pentagon Industries Limited and advisor to the Taan-Raat Institute of Bangladesh.

Ceremony highlighted the importance of critical thinking and innovation in shaping Bangladesh’s future, encouraging participants to overcome fears and pursue bold ideas. Event also highlighted the need for science and technology for global representation and the development of solutions relevant to Bangladesh’s unique challenges.

Participants competed in various categories, including robotics, IT, programming, mechanical innovation, science and digital poster design. Lia Khan from Uttara High School and College became the champion in Mathematics, while Jashnuva Iffat Alam from Uttara Girls High School and College won in Biology. Jisan Uddin Jihad and Anika Islam from Nawab Habibullah Model School and College secured top positions in Chemistry and Physics.

Event was facilitated by Dr. Mohammad Faisal Uddin, Associate Professor of Computer Science and Engineering, and Dr. Sadia Binte Alam, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The event concluded with enthusiastic participation, offering young minds a platform to explore ideas, demonstrate skills, and engage with science and technology for a brighter future.
