Green University of Bangladesh Ranks 2nd Nationally in Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2025

Dhaka, June 18, 2025 — In a significant achievement, Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) has been ranked the second-highest among public and private universities in Bangladesh in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2025. Globally, GUB has secured a position in the 601–800 band out of 2,526 universities across 130 countries.

Outstanding Global Performance in SDG 7

A key highlight of this year’s rankings is Green University’s strong performance in SDG 7 – Affordable and Clean Energy, where it ranked 86th globally out of 1,181 universities. The university also achieved a 100% score in the 2025 SDG Annual Report – Volume 1, underscoring its dedication to sustainability.

Professor Dr. Mohammad Sharif Uddin, Vice-Chancellor of GUB, expressed his pride and appreciation:

The 2025 global rankings are led by Western Sydney University (Australia), followed by the University of Manchester (UK).
