
East West University Hosts Orientation Program for 2200 New Students in Summer Semester 2025
East West University (EWU), one of Bangladesh’s leading private universities, welcomed approximately 2200 newly admitted students through a vibrant and informative Orientation Program for the Summer Semester 2025, held on 17 June at its permanent campus in Aftabnagar, Dhaka.
EWU Orientation 2025 program was designed to ease the transition into university life. Each academic department conducted customized sessions covering academic policies, curriculum structure, faculty introductions, campus facilities and student support services.
This event was attended by prominent EWU dignitaries including:
- Mohammed Farashuddin, Chairperson, Board of Trustees and Founder Vice Chancellor
- Shams Rahman, Vice Chancellor
- Mohammad Ashik Mosaddik, Pro Vice Chancellor
Also in attendance were the Deans of the three faculties:
- Farzana Akhter – Faculty of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences
- Ahmed Wasif Reza – Faculty of Sciences and Engineering
- Anup Chowdhury – Faculty of Business and Economics
During their speeches, university leaders emphasized the importance of developing 21st-century skills and adapting to the era of artificial intelligence (AI). Students were also encouraged to contribute positively to society and the nation, especially during times of need.
A major highlight of the day was the EWU Club Fair 2025, organized by the Department of Student Welfare, showcasing 22 dynamic student-run clubs. Each club presented its activities and achievements, encouraging newcomers to get involved in co-curricular and extracurricular activities alongside academic learning.
East West University Orientation Program Summer 2025 served as a gateway for new students to begin their academic journey, build connections and explore opportunities for holistic development.
