North South University (NSU) hosted the Completion Report Ceremony of the B-MEET and B-JET Programs, marking a growing partnership between Bangladesh and Japan in education and professional development. Event began with a welcome address by Professor Mohammad Khasro Miah, Director of the Career and Placement Center (CPC), NSU. The B-JET program ended with a cultural performance showcasing the friendship between Bangladesh and Japan, along with testimonials from trainees who secured employment opportunities in Japan. A magazine was also unveiled to commemorate the enduring friendship between the two nations.
A significant milestone was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between NSU and Shinkyo Shuppansha Keirinkan Co., Ltd., Japan, emphasizing collaborative growth and educational excellence. Speakers from Bangladesh and Japan highlighted the importance of cross-cultural understanding, technological advancements, and trainees’ adaptability in bridging cultural and professional gaps.
Chief Representative of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Bangladesh presented the JICA Award to NSU Vice-Chancellor Professor Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, who conferred NSU Awards upon JICA, JETRO, UoM, BCC, B&M, Miyazaki IT Plus, and BJIT for their contributions to the B-MEET and B-JET initiatives. Certificates of appreciation were jointly presented by NSU and UoM to contributors from Bangladesh and Japan.
Ichiguchi Tomohide, Chief Representative of JICA Bangladesh, and IWAMA Kiminori, Ambassador of Japan, praised the programs for fostering international collaboration and empowering young professionals.
Event concluded with closing remarks and a vote of thanks from Yasue Yoshinari, Director and Vice President of the University of Miyazaki, Japan.
