
Brac University welcomed its spring 2025 cohort through an orientation ceremony at multipurpose hall of its Merul Badda campus on Thursday, February 6, 2025.
Event marked the beginning of the students’ academic journey, setting the stage for a transformative university experience. Vice chancellor Syed Ferhat Anwar delivered an inspirational speech, urging students to embrace humility, respect and unity. He encouraged them to become responsible citizens, stating, “Love your country and strive to make it proud on the global stage.”
An engaging audiovisual presentation introduced students to Brac University’s rich history and the legacy of its founder Fazle Hasan Abed emphasizing the institution’s commitment to quality education.
Several esteemed university officials also addressed the students, including registrar David Dowland, dean of the School of General Education Samia Huq, Brac Institute of Languages (BIL) Director Professor Shaila Sultana and Humanity Foundation founder Md Adnan Hossain. Their words reinforced Brac University’s dedication to an inclusive and empowering academic environment.
Event moderated by joint director of Student Life Tahsina Rahman also featured vibrant performances by members of Brac University Cultural Club and Brac University Monon. A lively concert concluded ceremony with adding to the celebratory atmosphere.
