APUB Elects New Executive Committee for 2025–2027 Term
Association of Private Universities of Bangladesh (APUB) held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Executive Committee election for the 2025–2027 term in Dhaka on 17 July.
Sabur Khan chairman of Daffodil International University was elected Chairman of APUB. Benjir Ahmed of North South University and KBM Moin Uddin Chisty of Victoria University of Bangladesh were elected Vice Chairmen. Ishtiaque Abedin of American International University–Bangladesh was elected Secretary General, with Md Rezaul Karim from Southeast University as Joint Secretary General. Qayum Reza Chowdhury of University of Asia Pacific will serve as Treasurer.

- Faruque Hassan – BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology
- Kazi Zahedul Hasan – Central Women’s University
- Lutfe M Ayub – Chittagong Independent University
- Nowshad Shamsul Arefin – East West University
- Abul Quasem Haider – Eastern University
- Shafayet Kabir Chowdhury – East Delta University
- Didar A Hussain – Independent University, Bangladesh
- Md Ashraf Ali – Prime University
- Dr. Md. Mahbubur Rahman – State University of Bangladesh
- Mostafa Kamal – The People’s University of Bangladesh
- Dr. Kazi Anis Ahmed – University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh
- Hafizur Rahman Khan – Varendra University
This newly formed committee has pledged to strengthen the role of private universities in advancing higher education and contributing to national development.
