
MILA University Achieves Strong Rankings in Asia and ASEAN Region for 2024–2025
Putra Nilai, Malaysia – MILA University formerly known as Manipal International University (MIU) proudly announces its latest achievements in regional and international university rankings, marking a significant milestone in its journey as one of Malaysia’s emerging private universities.
In the QS Asia University Rankings 2024, MILA University secured a spot in the 551–600 band, reflecting its growing academic and research impact across Asia. Additionally, the university achieved an impressive 88th position in the QS Asian University Rankings – South Eastern Asia, a recognition of its regional competitiveness and academic excellence.
Further solidifying its status among top private institutions, MILA University ranked 30th in the AppliedHE Private University Ranking ASEAN 2025, with a total score of 64.52, placing it among the region’s leading private higher education providers.

Domestically, MILA University has been recognized by the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) through:
- A “Berdaya Saing” (Competitive) rating in the SETARA 2022 national assessment framework.
- A “Very Competitive” rating in the JPT 2023 Emerging University Category, signifying strong potential in innovation and institutional development.
